August Cara Box

September 1, 2013

The first time I participated in Cara Box, I was partnered with Brittany and I suppose I had beginners luck. She's an amazing person and I had so much fun getting to know her. I skipped a couple months and I'm back for another round of Cara Box. This time around, I was sending to Krista @ My Life Somewhere In The Middle and receiving from Cassie @ A Southern Pair. Both amazing girls!

I told Cassie that I'm a closet cheetah print lover and boy did I get a cheetah explosion in my box! From the scarf to the wreath (which a lot of people LOVE on my Instagram) to the little things like the sticky notes. I also received this soy candle which I loooooove from Target. I've actually been eyeing that scent for awhile too. Cassie was also sweet enough to include a couple doggy toys for my little monsters.

Aside from the great box, Cassie surprised me with these Christmas themed measuring spoons after I told her I have this weird addiction to collecting measuring spoons (I have 5 sets.... why?!). Can't wait for holiday baking now! Thanks Cassie for such an amazing box and I will email you back another novel soon :)

April Cara Box

Cara Box

I've seen Cara Box around blogland and it always peaked my interest to join, but it's a risky surprise ya know? I mean... it's a complete stranger that you sorta chat via email for a couple days and then they send you a package of things. I've done swaps many many many years ago and I have been jipped a couple times. *shrug* It just happens from time to time. For my first Cara Box swap I got pretty darn lucky because my partner Brittany, who blogs over at Aviation of Love is amaziiiiiiiing! My box? Winner winner chicken dinner. I love... like, seriously love everything I received!

First off, she's also a military wife *thumbs up* It's always nice to have more military friends :)

She doesn't know this, but I was actually eyeing Tree Hut shea sugar butter in this scent on Amazon awhile ago, but I think it was back ordered. So, when I opened my box and saw the scrub? I was literally over the moon excited. Then I got the lotion and body wash from the same line too. The scent? Smells like tropical Starburst and I feel like I should be lying at the beach somewhere instead of being cooped up inside. I'll have to do a review of the scrub on my beauty blog instead. All I will say is that it's AMAZING!

Brittany and I are both really into nail polish... I think if she saw my stash, she'd think I'm crazy. I know for a fact my husband and a couple friends already think I am. She got me this really pretty blue/green color which I actually don't own. I have some a little lighter and some a little darker. Perfect shade for Spring and Summer.

Third, she sent me a jar of her homemade diy laundry detergent + the "recipe" to make my own. I am extremely excited about this. I've been wanting to make my own for awhile now, but I still have a brand new liquid detergent which is going to take me foreverrrrr to finish up. With my hubby gone, I only have so much laundry to do!

I seriously loooove this box and I am so glad to have met you Brittany! Also, Thank you to Kaitlyn for creating Cara Box.

February Bauble Swap

February 25, 2013

The first swap I've ever done over the internet was from Marvelous Mail on livejournal, but that was years ago. Then everyone was doing holiday swaps, but I passed on all of those... So I was really excited to join Annie and Cindy on their Bauble Swap. Who doesn't love baubles?!

I received my package today and I was so excited! My partner was Amanda and hopefully she'll post my end on her blog soon. Thank you Amanda for the great baubles and I hope you get better soon! :) The first piece I opened was this long peacock charm necklace. The photo doesn't do it's justice whatsoever. Second, I opened up some cute heart studs which is right up my alley! Third, I received a statement necklace and I love it! It's probably something I wouldn't choose for myself personally, but I am so in love with it. It's unique and I can't wait to rock it. Again, Thank you so much Amanda!
