Recipleaser + An Awesome Email

May 24, 2013

You know, no one has ever emailed me personally to say anything positive or negative about what I post here. Surprisingly though, earlier this May, this guy emailed me out of the blue. At first, I thought it was one of those "hey, we would love for you to try out this and that", but after reading his loooooong message, it was seriously THE BEST email I've ever received! My most popular, most viewed/pinned recipe is the Mexican Chicken and Rice Casserole. Even though, I do not take credit for creating the recipe, but he thanked me nonetheless. He told me how he made this recipe (a better version then mine) for a Cinco De Mayo potluck at work and he was surprised that everyone ate every last bit of it. He's never made the recipe beforehand and I don't think he even got the chance to try it, but he ended up remaking it for himself later that week. I told him he's going to have to go to rehab after making it so much. On top of his awesome email, he's offered to host me under his website which I haven't taken up the offer since I don't have a name for a website. GHOTH.com is taken. Which is my mistake when I created this blog.

So, this guy... his name is Chris and he currently has a website called Recipleaser and it's very similar to Pinterest, except there's no hair tutorials or home decor. It is strictly just food. The best bit is that you can add all your favorite recipes on to one site instead of having to go to a gazillion sites where your favorite recipes are stored. It's a brand new site. Literally. He created this site I think on May 1st and since his email, I have had helped him a bit by content and things. It's pretty cool. Easier for me to add my favorite recipes that I want to try and not have to go to so many sites.

I was not paid or asked to make this post. All opinion is 100% my own. Just a friend helping out a friend :)

  1. That is pretty amazing! I've been to the site before, but never remember to visit when it comes time for me to meal plan. I'll try to remember in the future!

    1. The site itself is pretty awesome considering you can add your favorites pins or recipes all over the internet onto Recipleaser. Makes it easier for me so I'm searching through gazillion websites to plan my meals.

  2. Aww, thanks Yen! You are way too kind! I'm the one that should be posting on a blog and thanking you. After all, it was a recipe from your site that has made me the most popular guy at work. I've already had coworkers ask me to make the Mexican Chicken and Rice Casserole again! I'm almost scared to try any of your other recipes. If they are any better than the first one, I might wind up getting marriage proposals because of my food! :D

Seriously though, just let me know when/if you come up with a name for your permanent website and I'll make it happen for you. That's the least I can do for someone as sweet and wonderful as you!
