Fruit Salad with Vanilla Pudding

April 4, 2013

Happy Easter! The sun is shining and it's absolutely gorgeous out. Spring is here and I am loviiiing all the sun. Too bad my house sits in the shade, but I'll be thankful when the temp rises. I've seen this fruit salad all over Pinterest lately and I knew I had to give it a go. Again, you know me and my love for simple recipes. Plus this doesn't require any cooking or baking time. I didn't follow the recipe word for word, I did add in fresh strawberry and sprinkle of marshmallows. I also only used about a tablespoon or so of the vanilla instant pudding. I will have to try this again, except with more fresh fruits.

Fruit Salad with Vanilla Pudding
Original recipe from Real Mom Kitchen

1 TBsp vanilla instant pudding
1 lb. fresh strawberries, sliced
1 can fruit cocktail, with a bit of the syrup
sprinkle of marshmallows

Mix everything together. Refrigerate for a hour before serving.

Simple right? I also like to mix it up with some plain yogurt.

It's on a totally different topic but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Superb choice of colors!

  2. This is so simple and looks so tasty, I'm going to have to give it a try! I eat so many more fruits when I cut it up into a "fruit salad". Feel free to post and link up with Let's Get Physical until Wednesday Yen! :)

  4. You have no idea how much pudding I've made in the past 3 weeks. For some reason I'm on a roll with it & don't know when it'll end. Granted, once it was boxed pudding, but the other times I've used Cooking for Seven's amazing lemon & chocolate pudding recipes. You might wanna check them out. Love the idea of adding fruit. I could always use a little added nutrition to make me think dessert is "healthy" :) That spoon is pure cuteness.

  5. Looks yummy!! One question though.. Do you use the powder pudding, or use it once it's already mixed with the milk..?

    1. Powder pudding. If you use more canned fruits with syrup it'd look a lot different than mine. I only used a couple sprinkles of it.
