Blogging.

Why do you blog? No, really, why? I use to blog on a different platform, but it was different since those posts are private and I'm lucky to have some pretty awesome people. Even though I don't post there anymore, I'm still lucky to have them be my friends on other social media sites. Then I got into cooking and baking and was excited to see all these food blogs so, that's how I started. Ended up moving about 3-4 times and went from blogger to wordpress and back here again... went from one name to the next and finally settling with the one I have now.

Evani recently made a post which really got me thinking. Of course I would love to be successful like all the blogs I follow and read religiously! I mean who wouldn't?! Even though I've only had this blog for less than a year and surprisingly enough, I have done pretty good. I have met a lot of amazing people, have gotten my name a little more out there, have held a successful giveaway, won a couple giveaways... seriously, things have been great.

Ever since my husband deployed, life has been pretty dull around here. Cooking has gotten pretty minimal and baking is almost non-existent. If you read my blog, you probably have noticed lately that there's a post just about every day. I guess it's called a fluffer post. I'm basically transferring all my recipes from my old blog onto here and since life has been beyond boring, I figured it would be good enough. Sort of.

So, as my follower and friend, what do you want to see more of? Suggestions? Anything? Or how am I doing as a blogger?

  1. I have no suggestions but I think you're doing great. I think a lot of the blogging community has kids and thats their subject. I struggle to come up with blog posts myself.

  2. First, I love the image you used up top.

Second, I started blogging in order to keep my BFF up to date with what was going on with me after we parted ways after college. It got away from me for a long time and then I started listing. Small snippets of my days (before Twitter) in order to remember things since I'd stopped scrapbooking. Now it's sharing things I enjoy and my good and bad days and to help promote my shop (though I don't post about it a lot).

I love seeing recipes. If only there was smellovision.

  3. I believe you're doing great. It would be nice to see more pictures of you and your personal life. Seeing as your hubby has deployed, maybe it'd bring awesome memories :) I love your blog as is, though. <3

    Very beautiful new layout, btw.

  4. I love the recipes! I never would have known they were from your old blog at all. Haha. Thanks for mentioning my post, I think we all struggle with defining ourselves in the blog world (when there are SO many) but I really think what makes blog stand apart to me is the blogger's true self, their ability to reach out to others and form real relationships. And for that reason, I love you and your blog!! :)
